Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) meetings
This week the PPN was represented at the Traffic and Transport SPC meeting and the Climate Action, Environment and Energy SPC meeting, and you can watch the online meetings here. This is one of the best ways to learn about the Public Participation Network.
Planning and Urban Form Linkage Group Meeting: 08 December
The next Planning and Urban Form linkage group meeting will take place on Wednesday 08 December from 6.00pm – 8.00pm Former Mayor, Andrew Montague will discuss making submissions to the council, with particular reference to the Dublin City Development Plan 2022 – 2028. The Draft Plan and its associated documentation can be viewed here and Stage 2 of the public consultation period ends at 4.30pm on 14 February 2022.
Webinar on access to third level education for migrants: 08 December
New Communities Partnership and Mi-Wow (migrant women opportunities for work) and SSNO (Scheme to support national organisations) are organising a webinar for migrants living in Ireland, who would like to hear more about third level education. You can register for this event here.
Future Thinking Community Engagement Tool: 13 December
Rachel and Laurence from NCAD, are developing a game for imaginative and creative community development work and would like participants to engage in their pilot of this tool on 13 December. Please email if you are interested in attending this online workshop. This will be fun and interactive and useful for groups working with challenging issues.

A survey on intangible cultural heritage
Meanwhile, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media are surveying community groups on intangible cultural heritage in Ireland, and if you would like to be involved in this survey go here and here.
Think Housing, Build Accessible
The Irish Wheelchair Association would like you to sign a petition to end the disability housing crisis. By signing the petition, you are asking for wheelchair accessible homes and you can find out more about the campaign and petition here.
