Shane Murphy is a Postdoctoral Researcher based in Dublin City University (DCU), currently working as part of the Irish hub for the European Digital Media Observatory.
As part of an ongoing project looking at the impact disinformation is having, on the ground, in Ireland’s voluntary sector, Shane will be facilitating a focus group with PPN volunteers and staff.
The session should last approximately one hour, and will cover participants’ experiences with disinformation in the sector, the impact it is having, and responses and counter measures. These discussions will be used to inform training sessions to take place later in the year, and a report about the impact of disinformation on Ireland’s voluntary sector, which will be published early next year.
