PPN Training (and support)
You are invited to a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), with Shane Murphy from Dublin City University (DCU), about the impact disinformation is having in Ireland’s voluntary sector. Shane will facilitate a one-hour session, which will inform training sessions to take place later in the year, and a report about the impact of disinformation on the voluntary sector. Shane is a postdoctoral researcher in DCU, working as part of the Irish hub for the European Digital Media Observatory. The session takes place from 10.30am – 12.00pm at SPADE, on 01 October, and there are 6 – 10 places available. Please email if you would like to attend, however, as places are so limited, please only sign up if you are quite sure you can attend.
Funding and Grant Writing Tips with Evelyn Fitzpatrick
These sessions are designed for those who are new to writing grant applications, or those who would like feedback on applications they are currently completing. The workshops provide opportunities to identify the challenges, the most common mistakes and which errors cause disqualifications from grant and funding applications. Participants will come away with a better understanding of appropriate language and wording, to help better make the case for their application.
Online on Zoom on Thursday 09 October, from 7.00pm – 8.30pm
In person, at Carmichael, on Monday 13 October, from 10.00am – 12.30pm
