The PPN winter networking event, is on 20 November and member groups were sent invitations for this meeting, by email this morning (06 November).

We would love to see as many people as possible at this plenary, so please share the invite with people from your groups and networks.
Dublin City Council (DCC), is inviting applications from members of the public, to join the Local Community Safety Partnerships (LCSP). The LCSP are a new initiative which seek to work collaboratively with local communities, Gardai and public services, to make our communities safer places for families, residents and businesses. DCC are seeking expressions of interest from residents, youth, minority groups and representatives of community and voluntary organisations to join this new initiative. If you are interested, please complete the application form here.
These voluntary positions are not PPN Representative roles, which means that people who are not connected to PPN member groups can apply. PPN Representatives who have previously served two terms can also apply for these roles.
Applications are now open for the Music Capital Scheme 2025. This scheme provides funding for the purchase of musical instruments and selected items of equipment to individual professional musicians and non-professional groups across the country. Further details about the application process here.
PPN Training and Support Sessions
How to care for others while also caring for ourselves, using mindfulness and self-compassion (self-care) tools, with Helena Dilleen.
Online: 06 November, 7.00pm – 8.30pm
In person: 20 November, 10.00am – 12.00pm Friends of the Elderly, Bolton Street.
Census Roadshow Information Session, will take place on Thursday 06 November at 7.00pm
The session will provide:
- Short presentation on changes to the census 2027
- Short presentation on the outputs and insights from Census 20233
- Detailed demonstration on how to access and benefit from the Census data and information on the CSO website.

Updates from PPN Representatives, and Secretariat
Dublin City PPN delegates attended the PPN National Conference in Trim, recently and you can read a short piece about this conference here. This annual conference brings together delegates from all 31 PPNs across the country.
The Secretariat and Representatives will be available at the November Plenary meeting on 20 November, at the Friends of the Elderly premises on Bolton Street. The PPN tries, to use member groups premises for meetings as much as possible, to support member groups and introduce other PPN member groups to members.
