Thank you to everyone who came along to the Winter Networking Event at the Friends of the Elderly premises on 20 November, and to those who followed online. Participants were given a Plenary Booklet on the night, and you can access that here. The Department of Rural and Community Development and Gaeltacht (DRCDG) would like to share a survey, with all stakeholders here. DRCDG would also like to share the report, “Barriers to Involvement in the PPN” and a recording of the webinar to launch the report, here. DRCDG would also like to share a snapshot of the year 2024 also here.

Social Justice Ireland (SJI) invite PPN stakeholders to sign up for the online, self-guided PPPN Stakeholder Training, which is delivered via pre-recorded training videos. SJI is providing training on behalf of the Department of Rural and Community Development and Gaeltacht (DRCDG), and the training sessions cover: an introduction to the PPN, local government budgets, PPNs and Local Government, Effective Participation in Consultations, Effective Facilitation, Strategic Planning, and Measuring Outcomes and Impacts. Updates from PPN Representatives, and Secretariat
The Climate Action and Urban Resilience Strategic Policy Committee (SPC), is due to meet on Wednesday 26 November at 11.30am and you can watch it here. Items on the agenda this week include: the Dublin City Council climate action plan update, air quality monitoring and noise control, and Cllr Rory Hogan will be putting forward a motion to the committee.
