PPN Bulletin

Information

Dublin City PPN is hosted by Dublin City Volunteer Centre (DCVC).

One of the programmes of DCVC is the Community Volunteers Programme, which recruits and trains volunteers to be ready to support one-off community events such as festivals and conferences, or respond to local emergencies as they arise.  If your PPN member group has been affected by the recent storms and bad weather, the Community Volunteers Programme is ready to assist.

Community Volunteers is a network of more than 300 volunteers, who can help PPN member groups facing non-urgent challenges – for example, if your local community centre has experienced flooding and you need support with a clean-up or clearing items.  You can get in touch with or telephone (01) 578 2097 and explain your situation and the type of assistance you need.  The Community Volunteers programme is there to help.  Stay safe, and don’t be afraid to reach out.  You can read more about the Community Volunteers Programme here.

The Department of Rural and Community Development and Gaeltacht (DRCDG), through the Dublin City Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), and Dublin City Council (DCC), invites PPN member groups to apply for funding through its Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2026.  You can find out more about the criteria and deadline of the LEP, here.

Some council grants request your PPN Registration number, in the application form.

You can find your PPN Registration number here.

For a full list of DCC grants and funding streams, go to the DCC Funding Point Digest for February and March, 2026 here.

Dublin City Council (DCC) gives notice of a variation to the Dublin City Development Plan 2022 – 2028, in respect of the following: Variation no. 9:  SDRA 18 Broombridge-Hamilton Masterplan:  further details here.

Training

Dublin City PPN and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown PPN are organising general training for PPN member groups, from both PPNs and you can find out more on the Events Section of the PPN website here.  These FREE, online support sessions are available to all PPN members, and the topics being covered in this series are; the Circular Economy, Creating Sustainable Communities, How To Use Your Phone To Make Video Reels and Practical Steps for Funding Applications.
