The modules covered are an introduction to the PPNs, local government budgets, local government, effective participation in consultations, effective facilitation, strategic planning and measuring outcomes and impacts. You can register for this FREE course here.
Dublin City PPN and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown PPN are organising general training for PPN member groups, from both PPNs and you can find out more on the Events Section of the PPN website here.
Updates From the Secretariat and Representatives
The Public Participation Network has six internal working groups: the community and voluntary pillar working group, the social inclusion pillar working group, the environmental pillar working group, the Disability Thematic Group, the Migrant/Minority thematic group and the Dublin City PPN advisory committee.
Each group or sub-committee meets online and in person to advance the overall work of the PPN, and each group reports back to the monthly Secretariat meeting, which is held online on the second Tuesday of each month.
Of note this week, the Migrant/Minority thematic group attended a meeting with Dublin City Council’s Local Authority Integration Team (LAIT) and you can read a full summary of this meeting here.
Meanwhile, in 2026 the PPN started a new programme of peer-support-sessions for its Representatives and Secretariat, and you can read a full summary of the February session at the Clontarf Castle Hotel here.
Each pillar working group and each thematic group has its own section of the website.
