What a week!
Many thanks to all those who came to the Festival of Fundraising.
Thank you to Kevin Delaney of Academy Street Workshop who delivered 18 one-to-one mentoring sessions and workshops to PPN member organisations throughout the week. A special thank you to the people who volunteered to speak at the panel discussion: Frances Hayden from Dublin City Volunteer Centre, Róisín Lonergan from Five Lamps Arts Festival, Maria Jackson from Northside Home Care and Katerina Stoyanova from CVS Bulgaria. An even bigger thank you to those who came to the sessions and participated in all the discussions; the week wouldn’t have worked without you.
Your Environmental SPC representative, Robert Moss, would like PPN member organisations to know that there are still places left on TU Dublin’s Social Enterprise module, which starts in October. Everyone is also invited to a workshop: Fostering Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystems which is organised by Malta Enterprise as part of the EU Project: Fostering Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystems post-Covid 19.
Robert Moss represents An Taisce and is one of two Environmental SPC reps for Dublin City PPN. There are currently 29 member organisations in the Environmental Pillar and three members of the current Secretariat also come from this pillar, or college (or section of the network). The Environmental Linkage Group has been using Salesforce Chatter to communicate, over the past few months, but this has not been very successful, so we are hoping to think of other ways to share information soon. Watch this space.

The course runs over five Tuesday mornings, from 10 – 12.00pm and would be perfect for anyone wishing to improve their volunteer management skills and exploring best practice in volunteer management. All this for just 75 euro and you can register online here.
This week’s Northside Today interview on NearFM was with the President of the Hellenic Community of Ireland, Stella Xenopoulou, who will be joining our not-yet-formed migrant thematic group.
