PPN Bulletin

Training
The Dublin City PPN exists to support our member groups: by sharing useful information and offering training to build capacity, so that you can take part in shaping local authority decisions.

Right now, 21 PPN Representatives sit on 7 different Dublin City Council Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs), and one Local Community Development Committee (LCDC). These committees give us an important opportunity to advise and influence policy at the local level—and your participation is key.

If you’d like to learn more about how the SPCs work, we encourage you to watch our short Introduction to the SPCs video and browse the helpful slides and resources about local government and policy development here.

Summer is a great time to step back, reflect, and think about how you and your group might like to engage more with the PPN. If you’d like us to visit your group and chat more about ways to get involved, please don’t hesitate to contact Ruth or Siobhán—we’re happy to help.

New Members Meet-Up – Online
If your group is new to the PPN, or you just want a refresher, come along to our next New Members Meet-Up. These informal one-hour sessions are a great way to meet Ruth and Siobhán, get an overview of how the PPN works, and connect with other member groups.

🗓 Date: Tuesday 24 June
🕖 Time: 7.00pm – 8.00pm (online)
📧 To join: Email Siobhán at for the Zoom link.

PPN Secretariat and Reps Update
The PPN Secretariat met on the second Tuesday of June to wrap up a few final items before the summer break. This included ratifying new member applications—welcome to all our newest members! You can find a full list of current members in or Members Directory here.

(Why not check your groups’ details are up-to-date and correct while you’re there?)
