Expressions of Interest Now Open – SDG Champions Programme 2025–2026
The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment (DCEE) is now inviting Expressions of Interest for the 2025–2026 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Champions Programme. Organisations and groups from across the country will be selected as SDG Champions, helping to raise awareness and inspire action around the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As a Champion, your group will demonstrate that everyone in society has a role to play in building a more sustainable, inclusive future. This Friday: Your Council Day 2025 – Celebrate Local Government
Date: Friday, 27 June
Join the PPN in marking Your Council Day 2025, a nationwide campaign celebrating the essential work of local authorities across Ireland. Throughout the day, councils and communities will be sharing stories and insights on social media using #YourCouncilDay and #DoLáSaChomhairle. Applications Open: DCU Master’s in Climate Change – Policy, Media & Society
DCU is now accepting applications for the 2025/26 Master’s programme in Climate Change: Policy, Media, and Society. This interdisciplinary course explores how climate change intersects with policymaking, communication, and social transformation.

What is a DPO? – Workshop Follow-Up
On 23 June, Peter Kearns from the Independent Living Movement of Ireland led an informative online session on establishing a Disabled Persons Organisation (DPO) in Dublin City. Unlike traditional service providers, DPOs are led by and for disabled people, with a rights-based approach. Download the presentation slides here.
