The PPN Plenary takes place in the Mansion House from 6.30pm – .830pm on Thursday 22 May, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Come along to network with other PPN member groups, for updates from the Secretariat, to meet the PPN representatives, and to spend time in the Pillar Working Groups. The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emma Blain, and Dublin City Council wish to invite you to the launch of the Inclusion and Integration Week, 2025 and to the Opening Event “Humans of Dublin” on Thursday 22 May, from 9.30am – 10.30am in the Atrium, Civic Offices, Dublin City Council, Wood Quay, D8: Register here if you would like to attend.
Inclusion and Integration Week 2025 takes place from 23 May to 01 June, and the Dublin City PPN Disability Thematic Group (DTG) invite you to a session, a few days before the official week, on Tuesday 20 May, from 10.00am – 1.00pm, at Finglas Youth Resource Centre, to discuss the issues around Disabled Persons’ Organisations (DPOs). Peter Kearns, from the Independent Living Movement Ireland (ILMI) is the special guest speaker and all are welcome. Please email to confirm attendance.

Celebrating Dublin City: a city for all.
The PPN/DCU Summer School 2025 takes place from Monday 26 May – Thursday 29 May in person at the Glasnevin Campus and online for the evening sessions. The Summer School is a partnership between DCU and the PPNs from Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and Fingal. Come along to one, or all of the sessions on Social Media, AI, Sustainable Energy Communities, Disinformation, Public Policy, or a panel discussion with Jake Ryan from the Department of Rural and Community Development. DCU invite you to the launch of the short film, “Why wouldn’t you?” on Monday 19 May, from 10.30am – 12.00pm at the Student Centre, U Building. “Why wouldn’t you?” is a short film created by DCU’s Irish Refugee Integration Network (IRIN) and DCU Sanctuary about the lived experiences of forcibly displaced people in Ireland and celebrates the communities working tirelessly for inclusion and justice across DCU. The Sustainable Development Goals National Stakeholder Forum, scheduled for 11 June, has been deferred and will now take place on 09 September 2025, in Croke Park Dublin: and the theme for the event is “Preparations for Ireland’s Third SDG National Implementation Plan”.

Updates from the PPN Representatives and the PPN Secretariat
The Economic Development and Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) took place on Tuesday 13 May, at 3.30pm You can access the meeting here. Your PPN representatives on this committee are:
Adele O’Connor from the member group, Coolock Development Council, which is a member group from the Environment Pillar.
Aideen O’Dochartaigh, from the member group, Not Here Not Anywhere, which is a member group from the Community and Voluntary Pillar.
PPN representatives are invited onto SPC committees, to advise and assist council on the development and review of policy. You can meet your PPN Representatives at the Plenary in the Mansion House on Thursday 22 May: please register here.
