Updates from PPN Representatives and Secretariat

The PPN was very proud to be a part of the DCU Conference on a directly elected Mayor for Dublin, on Tuesday 29 April.  On 01 October 2022, the Citizens’ Assembly on a Directly Elected Mayor voted in favour of a powerful new Mayor, with wide-ranging powers and responsibilities.  The Assembly also recommended a series of new local government structures to support and sit alongside the new Directly Elected Mayor.  The conference at DCU on 29 April, took the work further to discuss how a new directly elected mayor might influence the housing policy/early childhood learning/third level education, and the first directly elected Mayor of Limerick gave an opening speech.  Further information about the recommendations can be found here.

The Climate Action and Urban Resilience Strategic Policy Committee (SPC), meets today (Wednesday 30 April) at 11.30am  You can access the meeting on the Dublin City Council public-i-tv portal here.

Your Dublin City PPN Representatives, on the Climate Action and Urban Resilience SPC, are:
