News from the wider PPN

Congratulations to Dublin City Volunteer Centre who launched their new website this week.  The new website has reems of information for people interested in volunteering and for organisations looking for volunteers.  In addition, there are plenty of resources, supports, training opportunities and information about funding on the site.  It looks great, it’s full of terrific content and congratulations to all involved.

You can access the new website here.

The Wheel launched their Training Links programme this week.  Training Networks are invited to apply for grants ranging from €10,000 to €50,000 and applications will remain open until 5.00pm on 13 August.  Training links funds community and voluntary organisations to form Training Networks – groups of a minimum of ten organisations who come together to undertake training that they may not have the opportunity to do individually.

You can find out all about the Training Links programme here.

Volunteer Ireland has a great resource for organisations delivering events online.  The resource is called “The A – Z of running and online event” and you can access the presentation, slides and information here.

Details of the next Housing SPC Linkage Group meeting are here and you can read all the PPN Bulletins here

Finally, our social media sites on Facebook and Twitter are growing in numbers and activity, so if you do use those platforms, please follow us and like us here and here, for daily updates from the wider PPN in general.  Please also let us know if you would like us to promote your pages, campaigns and fundraisers on these sites.

Strength in using common structure.
