PPN Bulletin

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who made it to the Plenary last night, at the Rediscovery Centre, in Ballymun.

Thank you to Roger Warburton, and all the staff of the Rediscovery Centre, who welcomed the PPN, and told us about their work, their plans for the future, and about the circular economy.

Many thanks to Mick Keegan, who told us about his experiences of being on the Secretariat, and the Disability Thematic Group.

Many thanks to Rebecca Tighe, of All Together in Dignity, who told us more about the #addthe10th campaign.

And thanks also, to Gary Kearney, who is our Traffic and Transport Representative, who talked to us about the upcoming Purple Lights campaign.  03 December is the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities and wearing purple/lighting buildings purple is a way to support with the 650, 000 people Ireland who are disabled.  #Purplelights22

Many apologies to Kelley Bermingham, Robbie Sinnott, Trevor Clowry, and Ciaran Taylor who were trying to participate in the Plenary online.  This was our first time trying to do a hybrid event, and there were some technical problems.  Our new support worker, Rachel Merriman, already has ideas for making this much smoother next time.

And many thanks, of course, to all the people who came along to the Centre last night, when it was cold, damp, and dark outside.  We appreciate your time and your interest in the PPN and look forward to working together more next year.  Please do get in touch with Ruth or Rachel, if you have any suggestions or ideas.  Please also get in touch, if your organisation would like to host the PPN Plenary next year.

We very much like holding the Plenaries where our Member Groups work!

We will share all the lovely photos from the evening next week, and we still have some 2023 PPN Diaries left, so if you would like one please let us know and we will get one to you.

If you would like to read up on the PPN documents Ruth mentioned last night, you can do so on the Resources Section of the website or below.
