PPN Bulletin – Election Results Special

Dublin City Public Participation Network (PPN) presented 19 new PPN representatives to Dublin City Council on Friday 27 September 2024.

15 representatives will sit on 7 Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs) representing the PPN’s 3 pillars of Community and Voluntary, Social Inclusion and Environment.

3 representatives will replace 3 people stepping down from the Local Community and Development Committee (LCDC), bringing the total number of Representatives on this committee to 5.

1 person will replace a person stepping down from the Secretariat, bringing the total number of Secretariat to 9 (3 from each pillar).

Many warm congratulations to all the newly elected and re-elected Representatives:  you can access a full list of the Dublin City PPN Representatives and Secretariat on the PPN website here.

The PPN plenary will be held on Thursday 21 November from 6.30pm – 8.30pm (venue to be announced), and this will be a chance to meet many of the newly elected and re-elected Representatives and Secretariat.  Further details to come soon.

Dublin City PPN was also delighted to be able to keep several people as “reserve representatives” which are equally important roles, and we thank them for their time, experience and desire to make Dublin City a better place in which to live, work, study and visit.

You can find out more about the newly formed SPCs here.

There will be some introductory training for the Representatives at the end of November, after which we hope to have some practical, easy and tangible plans for creating three linkage groups:  an environmental pillar linkage group; a community and voluntary pillar linkage group; and a social inclusion pillar linkage group.

Exciting times ahead.
