Several organisations are advertising their autumn training programmes and so there’s no time like the present to book some courses, upskill, re-learn and be newly inspired for the coming season.

Autumn training courses and events
Dublin City Volunteer Centre have regular training and networking events, which are tailored to support the needs of organisations in Dublin City, including
Volunteer Policy – The Fundamentals,
The Fundamentals of Volunteer Engagement, and Volunteer Leadership Training.

There are some wonderful training courses with The Wheel this autumn. From Canva to the Charities Regulator, from Critical Thinking Skills to Grant Writing Tips. You can find something for everyone on their website here:
Carmichael are also offering a new set of training sessions. You can learn about GDPR here, how to take meetings minutes here and Risk Management for Non-Profits here.
Finally, our own PPN events start back up again in the autumn, with the Festival of Fundraising (26 – 29 September), October Last Thursday of the Month Members Meet-Up (27 October), and the November Plenary in the Rediscovery Centre (24 November).
In addition, we would like to invite everyone to a once off meeting on Wednesday 31 August, from 6.30pm – 7.30pm to discuss a new logo for the PPN. This is with regards to the communications work being carried out by the Department of Rural and Community Development, and all are welcome Wednesday.

News from the wider PPN
PPN Member Group Anam Cara invite you to an event called “Supporting a bereaved colleague on their return to work”.
The session takes place on Friday 23 September, from 10.30am – 12.30pm with Dorothy Ingram, who is a pluralistic counsellor. Her specialist area is bereavement. For more information about this event, please go here.
