Nominations for two seats on the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) are open until Friday 05 November. One seat is for a person from an organisation in the Voluntary and Community Pillar, and one from the Environmental Pillar. The LCDC is a 19-person committee, and the PPN has 5 seats on it. Ideally, the nominees will also be interested in setting up an LCDC linkage group, and working on a template to report back from the committee, to the wider PPN. We are looking forward to the Evaluation of Impact training with Philip Isard, from Quality Matters on 03 November, from 6.00pm – 9.00pm We are also particularly excited about the next session from former Lord Mayor, Andrew Montague on writing good submissions to the council. He will give part two of this training to the Planning and Urban form linkage group on 08 December.
These training sessions are FREE, have been designed for Dublin City PPN members, and are a great way to meet others from our network.
The PPN will hold it’s Kick-off Event to start its Migrant Thematic Group on Thursday 11 November. This group is open to any organisations and groups, who work with migrant issues, and intercultural and ethnically diverse themes. The four Dublin local authorities (DCC, DLRD, Fingal & SDCC) have prepared a draft Air Quality Plan to improve levels of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), in ambient air in Dublin. The draft Air Quality Plan is now open for public consultation and the final version of the Air Quality Plan must be completed and submitted to the European Union by the end of 2021.
