Dublin City Council would like to share the following information with the PPN

  • If your PPN group would like to get involved with organising the celebrations for Africa Day in Dublin City, on Sunday 28 May, please fill out this form here

  • Dublin City Council would also like to hear from your organisation, if you would like to get involved in this year’s Dublin City Learning Festival, which is taking place from 3 – 5 April.  If you would like to host activities or get involved in other aspects of this festival, please complete that form here.

The target groups for this fund are:

People experiencing challenges to their mental health and wellbeing

Training

Whether you are a small volunteer led organisation, or a large multinational charity, Dublin City Volunteer Centre can offer guidance and support on developing a volunteer programme that meets the needs of your service users and volunteers alike.  Find out more about: planning and recruiting volunteers; day-to-day volunteer management; dealing with challenging situations; safeguarding and Garda vetting support for organisations here.

Updates from PPN Representatives and Secretariat

The Secretariat met for their monthly online meeting on Tuesday 14 March and agreed the minutes from their February meeting and those minutes are on the PPN website here.

Please save the dates for some PPN Events in the next few months.

The Last Thursday of the Month Members’ Meet-Ups will take place on 30 March, from 7.00pm – 8.30pm on zoom.  Come and join Kelley Bermingham, a LCDC Representative, talk about funding, grants and other matters relating to the LCDC. Our new consultant facilitator, Adrienne Boyle, will lead the discussion and all member groups welcome.  Please email Ruth for the zoom link, and we look forward to seeing you there.

The next Plenary will take place on 25 May at Trinity Comprehensive School, Ballymun.  As recommended during the recent “how to” training, this hybrid meeting will be divided into the three pillars/colleges to discuss the core work of the PPN in more detail.  All welcome.

There will also be information events online and in person to share updates on the Local Economic Community Plan (LECP), to learn more about the Sustainable Development Goals, (SDGs), and our Summer School will return to DCU in June.

Further information will be on the Events Section of our website as we update.
