Information
The Lord Mayor of Dublin invites PPN member groups, to nominate individuals from their groups, for a Lord Mayor’s Award. The nominations can be of people who “go the extra mile”. Those people who are the unsung heroes in the clubs, schools, among the communities and within our homes. The Lord Mayor’s Award wishes to celebrate the local heroes, the people who are the first to turn up, who stay until the end, who get things started and keep them going. These are the people who make lives better, because of what they do for others. You can nominate people for a Lord Mayor’s Award here.
The Dublin City PPN host, Dublin City Volunteer Centre, (DCVC) is engaged in a new project, called Unity in the Community. The main aims of Unity in the Community are to deliver positive community projects in Dublin City delivered by established communities with new migrant communities, to decrease racism. The types of projects to consider are community clean ups, community garden work, art and creative projects and social history stories. If you are interested in speaking with the coordinator of this project email
